How does Slack's vibe-coding work?
Slack is introducing collaborative vibe-coding channels where teams can work with AI agents, streamlining the development process. The feature includes project-specific code channels and tools to compare coding changes. This launch aims to make working with AI agents feel like collaborating with teammates.

Slack just rolled out a new feature that lets teams work with AI agents in a dedicated space, which is a total game-changer - no more jumping between different tools and conversations. The Slack Code launch brings us open, project-specific code channels with dedicated user tabs, plus features to compare coding changes and preview HTML output before a project ships. So, teams can now collaborate with AI agents like Claude or Devin, and have complete visibility into the conversation, allowing them to audit code diffs, get live previews of the agent's output, and give feedback.
The coding channels are designed to automatically archive themselves when their dedicated assignments are completed, leaving an audit log for recordkeeping. This feature is all about making it easy to work collaboratively with AI agents, basically making them feel like part of the team. Slack Code is available starting today on any Slack plan, and it'll work with AI agents from Slack's marketplace, including those from founding partners like Claude Code, Devin, Vercel Agent, and GitHub Copilot.
To get started with this feature, users can simply tag in a coding agent in a Slack channel, and the agent will spin up a code channel to tackle the task. From there, teams can work together with the AI agent, giving feedback and approving work before it ships. With Slack Code, teams can really streamline their development process and make working with AI agents feel more collaborative and efficient.
